How to turn a web page into a PDF
This site cannot visit a web address for you, because that would need a server. So you save the page first, which takes a second.
- Open the page in Chrome or Edge.
- Press Ctrl+S (Cmd+S on a Mac) and choose Webpage, Single File. This saves an .mhtml file with the pictures inside.
- Drop that file on the box at the top.
- Press Make the PDF.
Only the article
Menus, sidebars, adverts, cookie notices and footers are taken out, and the article is set on clean A4 pages with its headings, lists, tables and pictures. For a picture of the page exactly as it looks, use your browser: Print, then Save as PDF.
Good to know
- Does a plain .html file work?
- Yes, but it has no pictures inside, so they are left out. The single-file .mhtml keeps them.
- Is the page uploaded?
- No. It is read in your browser.
