Privacy Policy

The short version

Your documents never leave your computer. There is no account, no sign up and no newsletter. The site does show advertising, and advertising uses cookies, which is the one place where anything about you is collected at all.

Your documents

DocsFixer has no server that receives files. The tools are written to run inside your browser, so a file you open here is held in the page while you are on it and is gone the moment you close or refresh the tab. It is never uploaded, never copied and never stored. Nobody at DocsFixer can see a document you work on, because there is nowhere for it to arrive.

Your camera

One tool, Scan to PDF, asks to use your camera. Your browser asks you first and you can refuse. The picture it takes is drawn onto the page you are looking at and turned into a PDF there. No picture, and no part of one, is sent anywhere, and nothing is kept once you leave the page. The camera is switched off again the moment you press the button to stop it or close the tab.

Advertising

DocsFixer uses Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to show ads based on your previous visits to this and other sites.

You can turn personalized advertising off at Google Ads Settings, and opt out of other vendors at aboutads.info. Turning it off does not remove the ads, it makes them less relevant.

Third party vendors, including Google, may serve ads on this site using their own cookies. This site has no access to and no control over those cookies, and does not read them.

Analytics

The site may count visits to know which tools are used. A counter of that kind sees the page you opened, the country, the type of browser and the site you came from. It never sees your documents, because your documents never reach any server.

Children

The site is not aimed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect anything from them.
